Local REALTORS® receive political service award

The Greater Denton/Wise County Association of REALTORS® announces members who have excelled in protecting property rights in Denton

Denton, Texas – The Greater Denton/Wise County Association of REALTORS® is proud to announce that Dalton Allen, Ed Coe, Kaki Lybbert, Trisha Mihalik, Myra Oliver, Rob Rayner, Chris Rosprim and Barbara Russell have received the Texas Association of REALTOR® Strike Force Award for their efforts to protect private property rights in Denton. These members have received this honor based on several activities and programs which have brought together REALTORS®, local officials and homeowners.

“As Texas REALTORS®, it is our job to ensure that buying and selling property remains affordable,” said Myra Oliver, president of The Greater Denton/Wise County Association of REALTORS® “.

These members have done an outstanding job raising awareness of key issues and gathering resources to get the job done.

Awarded every two years, nominees must show exemplary involvement in the Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee and several other grassroots legislative initiatives.  As a voice for homeownership, these programs support political candidates for local and state office who are supportive of reducing Texas' over-reliance on property taxes and promoting public policies that benefit homeowners.

“Texas REALTORS® who serve on this level have gone above and beyond to really understand what a candidate stands for and how their positions will affect local residents,” said Brooke Hunt, Chairman of the Texas Association of REALTORS®. “These members are instrumental in campaign activities to protect private property rights for Texans.”
